如果閣下天生孔武有力,處事又愛高調,可惜身高一般,腳長不足,不愛駕駛高頭大馬電單車的話,這款XVS 1300 Custom便可能是你杯茶了。因為XVS 1300雖然身負1304cc V2水冷引擎,但座高只有670mm,常人坐上車雙腳著地時都會屈曲,矮到似坐凳仔咁。解決了座高問題後,便可以盡情享受1300級重機所帶來的動力享受。向後方延伸的轉向把手,讓你的雙臂不用像馬騮爬樹般過份伸直。
留意XVS 1300以21吋直徑頭輪、1755mm超長軸距和以34º向前哨出的頭叉,讓你在直路保持無比穩定。雖然1300級數電單車只配置41mm直徑套管前叉略為幼了一點,但尾胎闊度達到210mm,足以彌補視覺上的不足。反正1300級水冷引擎的馬力只有七十多匹,買家對於操控和制動表現,應該不會有熱切追求。
為了減輕重量,XVS不是軸傳動而是採用皮帶傳動。好處是結構簡單,減輕重量,也比鏈條所需要的保養更少,不用攝鏈也不用唧鏈油。不過XVS 1300的濕重仍然有293kg,而且1300級大機器所配置的油缸容量只有15公升。有時候真是難以明白有型士的思考模式。
