Autoclave carbon parts is completely different
from resin bonded carbon parts. Each
carbon parts is molded in the vacuum and high
temperature autoclave, and resin moisture is
removed. This advanced process makes each
carbon fiber connect firmly, and therefore each
parts becomes light weight and high stiffness.
In top motor sports categories such as Formula
One and MotoGP, autoclave carbon parts are used
in various components.
On
the other hand, autoclave carbon itself is
permeable. In motor sports scenes,
autoclave carbon parts are used in a short time
and there is no need to be coated on the
surface. But when using on the street, it needs
to consider the effect under various ways of
long-term usage such as temperature, rain, UV
radiation and etc.
To
cover this disadvantage, many autoclave carbon
parts are coated several times and as a result,
coating thickness gets thicker and parts itself
puts on extra weight, then kills autoclave
carbon characteristics.
Also too much coating loses "beautility" which
autoclave carbon has.

parts...
