Causes:  In some GL1800 models, the construction of the secondary master cylinder is improper therefore the brake fluid passage for releasing hydraulic brake pressure may become clogged. The clogging causes the rear brake to drag and overheat if ridden continually.

Treatment:  Replace the secondary master cylinder with a countermeasure part with the newly added relief valve.
